In what ways do you make a contribution to KDE?
In has many has i can, but the thing in witch i work more is in making kinda crystal icons. I also help has much has i can in making artistic documentation.
But my main occupation is working in a crystal icon set for OpenOffice.org, i
have the help of Robert Wadley, to do that.

When did you first hear of KDE?
When i bought my first Linux magazine, I was in my second year of university, about 5 or six years ago. It was a magazine that brought some old RedHat cd, can't remember which version it was.

How and when did you get involved in KDE?
Don't know, i started to make some icons for Kmess, then later, i made some other icons for Kopete, on a random day i saw a little add about making Crystal icons for OpenOffice.org, and well the rest is history.

Are you being paid to work on KDE?
No, there are some chances that i will be supported in that way, but the answer is no. :)

How much time do you usually spend on KDE?
About 3 hours a day. It depends a lot on my day job.

Which section of KDE is underrated and could get more publicity?
Everywhere, I cant believe I have to explain to everybody what KDE is.

What do you think is still badly missing in KDE?
A usable Karbon14, that is a vector drawing software, with the Krita effort we will have a good image manipulator, but we don't have a replacement for Sodipodi or Inkscape, i would love to do all my work in a kde environment.

What are your future plans for KDE?
Many, I have plans to increase de documentation on crystal, and with Theobroma and the kde-artists-team define some kde artwork guidelines. Continue to increase the number of KDE icons, to make a truly complete iconset.
Start a new community iconset, made not by me but by all that want to participate, this is relay on an embrionary stage. Help with some artwork for KDE marketing, and KDE apps.

Do you have any specific goals for KDE 4?
No, no goals, my main objective is to be able to continue to help in this wonderful project.

What motivates/keeps you motivated to work on KDE?
The people, I love the group, I really do.

Which application in KDE do you think definitely needs some usability work?
Karbon14, I really would love to use it, as I find it to have lots of potential.

What chances do you see in your country for KDE as a desktop platform?
Some, depends on the government, unfortenatly its not all about the quality of the product, other desktops are more implemented, and we have a big path to follow.

What is your favourite widget style?
Plastik, I also like Baghira.

Which text editor do you use? Why?
Kwrite, don't know, i find it simple and powerful, but im no expert on this so....

Which distribution do you use? Why?
Mandrake/Mandriva, one word URPMI its great, and also because they were so kind to offer me a one year VIP membership to the mandrake club, for my work with the OO.o icons.

What is KDE's killer app? Why?
Konqueror, well konqueror is so good at everything it does, its great.

What type is your laptop/desktop? What is it named?
Well i have an AMD 2600 desktop with a nvidia Fx5200, and a gericom laptop. AMD also.

If you were a KDE app, which one would you be? Why?
SuperKaramba, because we rely don't need it, but it makes our kde look good.

If you were shipwrecked and had to share an island with a KDE contributor who would it be?
who would it be? Mummm, must start to teach c++ to my girlfriend,

What users do you have in mind when you're developing for KDE?
Normal people, i think kde is for everyone.

What is your most embarrassing KDE moment?
don't think i have one , yet.

If we were to start a TV campaign could you think of a nice slogan for KDE?
KDE, be free, have fun, work, play have enjoy,

Are you coming to akademy 2005 this year?
Of course, one of my best friends lives in Granada its near Malaga, so i wouldn't miss it for the world

Well i have plans to marrie in the near future.

If you have a partner or children, how do they copes with a KDE addict?
She likes my work, she uses Linux.

Do you have any pets?
Yes, a little dog name godofredo.

Douro region, the oldest demarcated wine region on the world.

Which book is on your bedside table?
None at the moment, i go to bed to trierd.

Who or what in your life would you say influenced you most?
My girlfriend.


How would you describe yourself?
A normal semi intelligent guy, with some little artwork skills, that loves to talk, that is passionate about his work, and that want to change the world a little bit to the better.


What do you get passionate about?
Good projects, my soccer club FCPorto, eating well, and dreaming.

You're stuck on a train for 6 hours and are bored out of your skull. What do you do to amuse yourself?
Start to dream about some stuff that i am working at the moment.

Star Trek.

A simple white one.

Being a pain.
